A second cousin of mine said she wanted a house. I happened to know how she could get one even though she was only twenty years old. I know that seems kind of wild to actually think a twenty year old with a regular job could actually finance a home. But it is not, and I know that, because I financed one back in 1982, at the age of 18. I was nearly 19. I bought mine on March 17 and turned 19 on May 13 of 1982. So I knew it was more than possible. I knew that a person could get a house from a government agency if they just proved employment, citizenship, and they are not able to finance with a regular source of home finance. I had done this at a young age and knew from experience. I told her this story and she knew it was true because she was in contact with my relatives.
